About Us

Don't miss our 17th Annual Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department
Fundraiser and BBQ Cook-off

Our  raffle features a grand prize of $1,000.00 in Visa gift cards.  You can use the gift cards every-where Visa is accepted.  Our second raffle item could be considered a collector item.  We have obtained a Remington Model 700 ADL 200th year anniversary commemorative edition rifle.  This Model 700 ADL has a Walnut stock with commemorative bronze colored medallion in the grip cap.  It is chambered for .243 Winchester ammunition.  Our third raffle item is the ever popular Henry Golden Boy rifle chambered for .22 LR. the Henry Golden Boy is a masterpiece of fine crafted gunsmithing. Any shooting enthusiast who closely examines one is immediately impressed with the excellent fit, finish and overall visually elegant design. The Golden Boy rifle’s awesome 20-inch blued octagonal barrel, American walnut stock, brass buttplate and gleaming Brasslite receiver will transport you back to the wild and wooley days of America’s Old West, when Benjamin Tyler Henry designed the original Henry lever action rifle.

Raffle tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5 or a book of twelve for $10.

Tommy Horton, "The Singin’ Surveyor" will once again provide live music during our noon BBQ meal.

Donations of silent and live auction items are currently being accepted.  Contact a member if you have items to donate.  Please fill out our donation form for the items you bring.  If you give your items to one of our members then we can sign the receipt at the bottom of the form.

Cookers... Once again we will have 12 free RV hookups (water and 30 amp electric) available on a first come first served basis.  Sorry, to be fair, we will not reserve spots in advance.  Once again the fire department is adding $1,200 additional prize money.  There will be a free pancake breakfast for the cookers on the Saturday morning of the event at 8:00 a.m.

Mark your calendars, you don't want to miss our BBQ cook-off and fund raiser on June 10, 2017.
