Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department and Community Center

The Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department's 19th annual BBQ Cook-off and Fund Raiser was a great success.  Our Silent Auction, Grand Auction, and  donations for the fantastic BBQ lunch provided by Buddy Garza and his crew will go a long way to support the day to day activities of the fire department and community center.   The Concho Grass Band provided the foot stomp'n music during the noon meal.  The BBQ teams provided the competition with only one point separating the Reserve Champion and the Grand Champion.  Congratulations Reserve Champion Rudy Supak and Grand Champion Aletha Patterson on your wins.  BBQ Cook-off Results

The Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department wishes to thank those who have sent in contributions,  took a chance with our raffle, bought a T-shirt or hat, provided items for our two auctions, bid on auction items or made a donation for lunch. Listed below are some of our friends, neighbors, and businesses who have provided their support in 2019.

Grantors Who Made Our Department What It Is Today

We don't want to forget those organizations who have shared our vision of establishing a fire department that can provide a first response to begin fighting fires until a larger fire department arrives on the scene.  Our partners have provided the funds necessary to build our building and purchase the equipment needed to become a fire department.  Thank you, we will not forget.
