Mission Statement: The mission of the Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department (the Department), a non profit 501 (c) organization, is to respond to emergency situations according to the current resources available to the department and within the training and capabilities of our firefighters.  The Department will coordinate its emergency activities and assist other local area fire departments in those emergencies.  The Community Center provides support for the Department through its fund raising and grant writing activities.  The Community Center also provides clean, well maintained facilities that can be used by the Fort McKavett community for meetings and special events at a nominal charge to cover utilities and cleaning.

Meetings and Membership: The Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department and Community Center holds regular meetings on the second Monday of every month. Check the calendar for any changes to the meeting schedual. Our annual meeting is held on the second Monday in November.  Election of officers occurs during our annual meeting.  Our meetings are held at the Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department's fire station and community center located at 6300 Hwy 864 in Fort McKavett, Texas.  Meetings are open to the general public. However, you must be a member in good standing to vote on issues. Our members consist of both support personnel and fire fighters. We invite all who are interested to become members of our fire department in either or both roles.  Membership applications can be downloaded here.  Yearly dues (expires on December 31st) are $10.00 per person.

Executive Committee and By Laws: Our meetings and membership is governed by a set of
by-laws available here.  Our Executive Committee are officers elected by the membership each November. Their term of office is from January 1st through December 31st.
